Lawyer

The Anti-Slavery Australia team are recruiting for a Lawyer to join their team in a full-time capacity for a 2-year contract. The Lawyer will provide complex casework and advice to survivors of modern slavery within a migration, human rights and legal framework, and contribute to essential research and policy work to improve outcomes for survivors of modern slavery in Australia.

We are looking for legal professionals committed to social justice, preferably with recent migration law experience. For more details, criteria and application info see here.

Policy Officer

The Policy Officer will contribute to Anti-Slavery Australia by developing and disseminating policy and research on key areas of modern slavery law and reform. The Policy Officer will promote ASA’s strategy and advocacy to end modern slavery and prioritise the lived experience of survivors of modern slavery.

This 12 month full-time position would be ideal for a candidate with knowledge of modern slavery, including of relevant stakeholders, and experience in developing engaging and effective content for a wide range of audiences (media engagement experience is desirable).
