Objective
Hosted by Anti-Slavery Australia and UTS Faculty of Law, this seminar lays the foundations for:
- understanding modern slavery
- examining the impact of Australian modern slavery legislation on businesses
- building policy and procedure architecture to deliver modern slavery statements for your organisation or clients
- exploring how best-practice examples can inform your work.
This seminar provides a framework for those in leadership and reporting roles to begin compliance and due diligence planning for the Australian modern slavery requirements. Both Commonwealth and NSW legislation will be discussed: Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and Modern Slavery Act 2018 (NSW).
