ZONTA Award for Advancing the Status of Women Worldwide

Associate Professor Jennifer Burn has been named as the 2011 Zonta International District 24 Honorary Member in recognition of her work and achievements in the field of human trafficking and advocacy for legal reform that will contribute to advancing the status of women.

This award recognises a person who, over an extended period time, has made a demonstrable and substantial contribution to advancing the status of women through community service and/or their personal endeavours.

For 90 years, Zonta International has been working to advance the status of women worldwide through an international fellowship of executive and professional women, who share a common commitment to promoting and protecting women's rights.
